Information we collect

Information you provide. When you inquire about a property, request a search or valuation, contact the brokerage, submit an agent referral or career inquiry, or register an account, we may collect your name, email, telephone number, inquiry or message, property address, location preferences, budget, desired timeline, referral-related information, and other details you voluntarily submit. Please do not send Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, government ID images, or other sensitive documents through general website forms.

Optional account information. An account may store username and email, verification and notification preferences, saved searches, favorite properties, and private notes. WordPress handles account authentication; passwords should not be sent in contact forms. Some comparison and recently viewed information is kept in your browser.

Technical information. Our hosting, website software, and security tools may process IP address, browser or device information, access times, requested pages, cookies, and abuse-prevention signals. Precise location is requested only when you choose a feature that asks for browser location permission.

How we use information

We use this information to answer inquiries, deliver requested property information, manage brokerage follow-up, evaluate and respond to agent referrals, communicate about a valuation or listing, operate and secure accounts, provide opt-in saved-search or favorite alerts, prevent spam and misuse, and comply with applicable legal and recordkeeping requirements.

Marketing preferences are separate from account, verification, saved-search, and inquiry-related messages. You can decline optional promotional communications or change your website account preference. An inquiry or account registration alone is not a promise that marketing texts or calls will be sent.

MLS information and service providers

Property listings and market data may be supplied through MLS/IDX and Bridge or other licensed data sources; the underlying listing information is subject to its original provider’s terms and may be updated independently of your account information.

We use or may use vendors and professional service providers needed to operate the website and brokerage, including WordPress and website hosting, Cloudflare Turnstile for abuse prevention, Resend for website email and alerts, Google Drive/UpdraftPlus for backups, and Zoho CRM or other brokerage systems for inquiry follow-up. Depending on your request, information may be shared with participating real estate professionals, owners or their representatives, transaction or title professionals, and association contacts as reasonably needed to assist you or as required by law. An outside provider’s own privacy notice may apply to its services.

We do not make the content of private VidaLux property notes or searches publicly accessible by design. No system or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Cookies, browser storage, and links

The site uses or may use cookies and similar storage to support WordPress sign-in, sessions, site functions, preferences, security, and browser-only recently viewed properties or comparisons. You can manage cookies through browser settings, but disabling necessary storage can limit account features. Other websites or embedded services linked from VidaLux, including social networks or third-party property tools, may follow their own privacy policies.

The website’s English/Spanish interface uses your selected page URL; a new direct visit without a language parameter starts in English.

Your choices and requests

You may update promotional preferences in your VidaLux account, use unsubscribe links provided in applicable emails, or ask us directly to stop promotional messages. Account controls may let you export and delete saved searches, favorites, property notes, and VidaLux preferences. These controls do not delete your WordPress login account, prior inquiries, brokerage transaction records, or copies retained in backups.

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. We may need to verify your identity and may retain records when required or permitted for legal, contractual, security, or legitimate brokerage purposes. Additional rights may apply under applicable law.

Retention and protection

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, including brokerage servicing, legal or professional recordkeeping, handling disputes, safeguarding the website, and managing backups. Retention depends on the type of record and applicable requirements; deleting website favorites or searches does not necessarily remove older backups or separately maintained transaction files. We use appropriate administrative and technical safeguards, though no internet service can eliminate every risk.

Children, updates, and contact

The website is designed for people seeking real estate services and is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the website, contact us.
